Provide the approval of a California registered design professional for modification of drilling with any restrictions such as minimum edge distance, number of penetrations per truss chord, minimum distance from truss connector plates, etc. or no limitations specifically noted
Provide module manufacturer's top down clamp locations sheet (see page 7 & 9 of q.cell installation manual)
Provide manufacturers info on rail-type systems including allowable span, cantilever and allowable rail splice location.
Show job specific (not typical ) layout or arrays, attachment points, rail splice and cantilevers. Dimension spans and cantilevers.
Provide module manufactures allowable top down clap locations and show rail spacing accordingly (see coppo lewis for example)
Provide solar panel manufacturer's allowable top down clamp locations. For Qcell modules, reference Qcell installation guide below for allowed clamp locations. For other mods, seek install guides from the manufacturer.
Demonstrate module compatibility with attachment system. RockIt attachment system install guide is uploaded below, reference pages 30-35. For other attachment systems, seek module compatibility guides from the manufacturer.
For any unpermitted structures, identify as existing non-permitted 3' gable end access pathways are to be measured from gable end roof framing and may not utilize any part of gable overhang
Provide distance of the conduit off of the roof. (min 1 off roof)
Provide the engineer's approval letter for the rail showing allowable span, cantilever and splice locations.
Remove references to the NEC and provide applicable CEC code references.
Include Atascadero Municipal code on title sheet under Code Information
Per AMC, provide 3' clear walking access each side of the ridge and two 3' paths from eave to-ridge on each roof slope on which modules are located.
Gable end paths are to be measured from load-bearing gable end framing. Show or note gable overhang dimension.
P.V. racks installed on a roof, framed with engineered trusses, shall include written approval from a registered design professional for the modification of wood trusses by drilling, consistent with the requirements of the California Residential Code Section 802.10.4., or install blocking between truss to attach the rack/mounts

Provide ampacity calculations for both DC and AC conductors based on a temp of 108F and corrected for the number of current carrying conductors in a raceway and conduit exposure to sunlight on or above a roof. (Use GTE calc tables) Max DC current to be consistent with requirements of CEC 690.47(D) Provide an auxiliary array grounding electrode consistent with requirements of CEC690.47 (D)
