Provide and show on roof plan the minimum 36-inch-wide setback on both sides of the horizontal ridge to verify compliance with California Fire Code (CFC) sections 605.11.1.2.2 605.11.1.2.2 Setbacks at ridge. For photovoltaic arrays occupying 33 percent or less of the plan view total roof area, a minimum 18-inch-wide (457 mm) setback is required on both sides of a horizontal ridge. For photovoltaic arrays occupying more than 33 percent of the plan view total roof area, a minimum 36-inch-wide (914 mm) setback is required on both sides of a horizontal ridge. .

Plan set
- Plan Set Requirements
Add specification titled SM-UL2703-Certification to plans uploaded below in files section.
AHJ requires cut sheets of equipment to be highlighted specific to that job for visibility. If inverter is in garage or out of line of sight, add additional AC disco by inverter and MSP. AHJ does not accept Bus Certification
If inverter is in garage or out of line of sight, add additional AC disco by inverter and MSP.
For all revisions and corrections Provide a written response for revisions and corrections. Indicate the sheet number and detail or note number on the plans where the corrections are made. Submittal without a written response is considered as INCOMPLETE and may be returned. Plans must also be red clouded and delta's must be used to indicate what the changes are.
- Cover Page
Include Spec sheets for all equipment, **including AC disconnect**
For all revisions/corrections * Changes made to the plans must be clouded and labeled as Deltas, and the title page needs to have a full description of what the changes/revisions are. * In the title page we must also state the pages in which the changes/revisions are located at. *
AHJ has been giving us corrections because the PV #s are too small at the bottom right corner we must enlarge the page #s to avoid corrections and resubmissions
Make sure placard is showing inverter output NOT PV breaker OCPD size. (per AHJ corrections)
- Site
Show all (E) equipment on all pages of plans and placard.
The city of Hemet requires anything that is taller than 12 inches to be included in the site map. I know this sounds absurd but is for playgrounds, Sheds, above ground pools, Decks and so on.
- Site Notes
Indicate and show on site plan the proposed conduit height above roof surface
- Roof Plan
* Designer should use correct roof area for modified setbacks as this AHJ will check

120% rule allowed per CEC 705.12(B)(2)(3)(d)
ALL Jobs: Provide minimum conductors size from the new load center to the interconnection breaker in the MSP and the Conductor Ampacity De-Rated Calculation as well.
MPU Projects: Provide the Model number of the main panel on the Electrical Diagram and Spec sheets
MPU Projects: Provide on plans a surge protector integrated into the MSP
MPU Projects: Provide load calcs and panel schedule on plans
Derate projects: Add label for the dead front indicating 'MAIN BREAKER DOWNSIZED TO ____AMPS FOR PV SYSTEM'
DERATE NOTE: [THE NEW DOWNSIZED SIGN IS TO BE PLACED NEXT TO THE DEAD FRONT OF THE SERVICE PANEL]
