All battery jobs -
Provide exterior elevation drawings of the system equipment and identify all required clearances. CRC 106
Bldg: ESS units shall be separated from each other by not less than 3 feet except where smaller separation distances are documented to be adequate based on large-scale fire testing complying with Section 1207.1.5 of the California Fire Code. CRC 328.3.1 -Identify 3' separation or incorporate approved documentation for into plan set for closer spacing. On the elevation plan, identify spacing between ESS units in compliance with 9040A and the manufacturer installation instructions.
Bldg:
ESS (Batteries) that are wall mounted and weigh 200 lbs. (or more), must provide: -Structural details in the drawings. AND -Structural calculations as a separate document. (CRC 301.1) *Structural documents shall be stamped and signed by a California licensed professional engineer.

Include existing panel rating on ELD, this can be a simple note "Existing MSP is 125A/100A"
- Label Page
PLACARD: ROTATE PLACARD SO THE MSP IS ALIGNED WITH THE BOTTOM Directional placard shall be oriented relative to where an individual will be standing looking at the placard. Meter panel to be at the bottom of placard when oriented correctly.

- Non Standard Revision Requirements
When revising system information on the plans, replace the old information rather than adding the new information next to it. Having both old and new information confuses the AHJ.
Ground mount
- Ground Mount Fencing Required
- Situational
- Ground Mount Notes
AHJs require 10โ minimum distance around the array for maintaining a clear fire zone. Separate fencing is not required for the ground mount residential PV array, so long as the property is fully fenced. Ground Screws allowed with engineering. Freeze/thaw depth is 12โ-24โ. No grade requirements. If in a flood hazard zone then a geotechnical report and addition calcs by the Engineer shall be required. This may result in a minimum height above grade to keep the array out of the flood water height.
