BATTERY [Producer's storage device(s) will not cause the Host Load to exceed its normal peak demand. Normal peak demand is defined as the highest amount of power required from the Distribution System by Producer's complete facilities without the influence or use of the energy storage device(s)]

Individual units shall be separated from each other by at least 3 feet of spacing unless smaller separation distances are documented to be adequate based on large-scale fire testing complying with Section 1207.1.5.

For compliance with Section 1207.1.5, Large scale fire test. Applicant shall submit the following with project submittal:

A. Licensed engineer stamp and letter stating the product being submitted is in compliance with the requirements set forth in 1207.1.5 and UL9540A, most recent edition applicable with date of product.

B. Provide test reports.

1. Test reports shall show compliance with ESS no propagation to adjacent ESS.
2. Where installed in buildings, enclosed areas and walk-in units will be contained within the room, enclosed are or walk-in unit for a duration equal to the fire-resistance rating of the room separation specified in Section 1207.7.4.
