BATTERY [Producer's storage device(s) will not cause the Host Load to exceed its normal peak demand. Normal peak demand is defined as the highest amount of power required from the Distribution System by Producer's complete facilities without the influence or use of the energy storage device(s)]
Individual units shall be separated from each other by at least 3 feet of spacing unless smaller separation distances are documented to be adequate based on large-scale fire testing complying with Section 1207.1.5.
For compliance with Section 1207.1.5, Large scale fire test. Applicant shall submit the following with project submittal:
A. Licensed engineer stamp and letter stating the product being submitted is in compliance with the requirements set forth in 1207.1.5 and UL9540A, most recent edition applicable with date of product.
B. Provide test reports.
- 1. Test reports shall show compliance with ESS no propagation to adjacent ESS.
- 2. Where installed in buildings, enclosed areas and walk-in units will be contained within the room, enclosed are or walk-in unit for a duration equal to the fire-resistance rating of the room separation specified in Section 1207.7.4.

ALL JOBS [All materials used to mount solar arrays shall be equal to or greater than Class โBโ fire rating]
- Roof Plan Notes
ROOF MOUNT [Conduit, wiring systems, and raceways for photovoltaic circuits shall be located as close as possible to the ridge or hip or valley and from the hip or valley as directly as possible to an outside wall to reduce trip hazards and maximize ventilation opportunities // CONDUIT RUNS BETWEEN SUB ARRAYS AND TO DC COMBINER BOXES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN A MANNER THAT MINIMIZES THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF CONDUIT ON THE ROOF BY TAKING THE SHORTEST PATH FROM THE ARRAY TO THE DC COMBINER BOX. THE DC COMBINER BOXES SHALL BE LOCATED SUCH THAT CONDUIT RUNS ARE MINIMIZED IN THE PATHWAYS BETWEEN ARRAYS. DC WIRING SHALL BE INSTALLED IN METALLIC CONDUIT OR RACEWAYS WHEN LOCATED WITHIN ENCLOSED SPACES IN A BUILDING. CONDUIT SHALL RUN ALONG THE BOTTOM OF LOAD BEARING MEMBERS.]
- Electrical Diagram
Use .58 for roof top temperature derating for conductors in roof top conduit. (Show DC conductor calculations on electrical line diagram) Provide legend with Warning Labels per CEC Article 690. Reference via a symbol on the single line where labels will be placed. Each warning label has a separate unique symbol. That reference symbol is then shown on the single line at the location where the label will be placed. Specify 36โ deep minimum working space in front of the inverter and AC disconnect

All Jobs [MARKING IS REQUIRED ON ALL INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DC CONDUIT, RACEWAYS, ENCLOSURES, CABLE ASSEMBLIES, AND JUNCTION BOXES TO ALERT THE FIRE SERVICE TO AVOID CUTTING THEM. MARKING SHOULD BE PLACED ON ALL INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DC CONDUIT, RACEWAYS, ENCLOSURES, AND CABLE ASSEMBLIES, EVERY 10 FEET, AT TURNS AND ABOVE AND/OR BELOW PENETRATIONS AND ALL DC COMBINER AND JUNCTION BOXES. // THE RAPID SHUTDOWN LABEL IN SECTION 1204.5.1 SHALL BE LOCATED NOT GREATER THAN 3 FEET (914 MM) FROM THE SERVICE DISCONNECTING MEANS TO WHICH THE PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS ARE CONNECTED AND SHALL INDICATE THE LOCATION OF ALL IDENTIFIED RAPID SHUTDOWN SWITCHES IF NOT AT THE SAME LOCATION.]
