Fire-Rated Assembly Details

Site/Roof plan: Indicate fire-resistance rating and how the ESS is protected (walls, barriers, etc.)
Example: ESS installed behind a 1-hour fire-rated drywall assembly on the garage side of the house (e.g., 5/8" Type X gypsum board on the shared wall between garage and living space). Show how the ESS maintains required clearance from combustible surfaces per code.

Materials Specified

Site/Roof plan: List all proposed materials for the fire-rated assembly and adjacent construction.
Example: 5/8" Type X gypsum board, fire-rated sealant at penetrations, metal mounting bracket rated for the ESS weight, and non-combustible backing panel. List manufacturer/model if required.
