Net Excess Generation Notes

If the electricity generated by the net metering facility is fed back to the cooperative and exceeds the electricity supplied by the cooperative during the billing period, then the member will receive a kWh credit for the accumulated net excess kWh to apply to next month’s bill. Credits may accrue from month to month and do not expire. The member will not receive a special bill. The kWh credit will be maintained in Ozarks Electric’s billing system. The monthly availability charge and minimum bill still apply even if no electricity is purchased from Ozarks Electric.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Ozarks Electric Cooperative before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
