Minimum Size: 1 kW

Maximum Size: Systems should aim to produce no more than 100% of the customer’s average annual energy use, based on the past two years of Azusa Light and Water billing records.

Limited Usage History: If the customer account has less than two years of history, the average will be based on available data. Systems can exceed 100% of historic use, but the incentive is capped at the historical usage level.

New Construction: For new builds up to 10 kW, the maximum system size can be estimated at 2 watts per square foot instead of a projected energy load calculation.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with ALW - City of Azusa Light & Water Department before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
