SLD Reqs
**Inverter:**
The Facility shall include a utility-interactive inverter or other devices that performs the function of automatically isolating the Facility from the Company’s electric system in the event the Company’s electric system loses power. The inverter shall be considered certified for interconnected operation if it has been submitted by the manufacturer to a nationally recognized testing laboratory to comply with UL 1741.
**AC Disconnect:**
- As a Tier 1 generator, the Customer is not required by law to install a manual disconnect switch of the visible load break type. Nevertheless, the Company strongly recommends the installation of such a disconnect switch.
- Tier 2 and Tier 3 projects are required to install a manual disconnect switch of the visible load break type to provide a separation point between the AC power output of the Facility and the customer wiring connected to the Company’s system
Electric Service Reqs
** System Sizing: **
May not exceed 90% of the Customer’s utility distribution service rating (transformer)

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Gulf Power before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
