When the billing period kWh’s supplied by the Commission exceeds kWh’s generated by the Customer’s distributed generation, the electricity shall be billed by the Commission in accordance with the applicable tariff(s).

When the billing period kWh’s generated by the Customer’s distributed generation system exceeds kWh’s supplied by the Commission, the Customer shall be billed for appropriate Customer charges for that billing period, and credited for any excess kWh’s generated during the billing period in accordance with the Commission approved Distributed Generation -Renewable Energy Rate.

Site Plan Reqs
  • A manual, lockable, load-break disconnect switch that provides a clear indication of the switch position must be available with the System at or near the Customer’s main point of service from the Commission’s electric system to provide a point of electrical separation between the Customer’s System and the Commission’s electric system. The disconnect switch must be easily visible, mounted separately from the metering equipment, readily accessible to the Commission personnel at all times, and capable of being locked in the open position with the Commission’s lock.
