If, during a billing period, the Customer’s Facility feeds back on to CMELD system more electricity than is supplied by CMELD, the Customer shall be credited for the excess electricity in kWh generated and fed into CMELD’s system. Credits will be made on a quarterly basis and will appear on the Customer’s invoice as a payment. The rate credited to the Customer for excess energy fed into CMELD’s distribution system shall be CMELD’s avoided cost for that period. CMELD will provide the Customer with a spreadsheet showing the credit calculations.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Chester Municipal Electric (Town of Chester) before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
