Site Plan Reqs
  • Include location of interconnection transformer, interconnecting device, point of common coupling, point of interconnection, line extension
  • Show the location of all DG equipment, existing service meter, and driveway or access to facility
  • AC Disconnect must be installed next to the existing utility meter. They must be moved to be located next to the existing UM

Battery Projects

  • An ESS Questionnaire must be filled out by design for all battery projects. A blank copy of this form is uploaded to the Files section below titled "Unitil ESS Questionnaire."
SLD Reqs
  • Show all switching and protective devices and the tie point to utility system. The one line should include all current transformers and voltage transformers with all ratios

Meter Location

  • Must be outside (unless pre-approved electrical room)
  • Place on front 1/3 of home, driveway gable side, or customer-owned structure
  • Must be accessible to Unitil personnel
  • No fences, obstructions, or special access needed
  • Location requires prior Unitil approval

Clearance Requirements

  • Meter height: 5 - 5.5 feet above finished grade
  • Maintain 3 ft wide ร— 3 ft deep clear working space
  • Keep area clear of landscaping or obstructions
  • Follow National Electrical Code clearance rules
