Net Excess Generation Notes

In months where production exceeds consumption, the excess will be recorded in a bank. In months where consumption exceeds production, the excess consumption will be offset by the bank, if any. When consumption exceeds production plus excess bank, this excess consumption will be billed at the full retail rate applicable for the class of service.

Excess generation will be calculated monthly, and the Net Energy will be subtracting the Received from the Delivered Energy. Excess generation is "banked" and purchased on an annual basis by Allegheny Electric Power Company.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Sussex Rural Electric Co-op before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
