Solar NEM customers will receive a monetary credit for excess energy. Excess energy is defined as the difference between the energy consumed from the grid and the solar energy exported to the grid. As of 2020, the rate for the excess kWh is 75% of the total retail rate. Credits can be ONLY be applied to future energy consumption charges.
