Net Excess Generation Notes

There shall be no “net metering” for customer-owned renewable generation facilities. Net metering is defined as measuring the difference between the electricity supplied by the Utility and the electricity generated by the Customer’s Generating Facility and delivered to the Utility Electric Distribution System over the operable time period. The Utility will not purchase the energy produced from the Customer-Owned Generating

Facility, but will provide a monetary credit that will be applied to the Customer bill. Avoided cost $0.0750/kWh

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with City of Bowling Green Utility before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
