Net Excess Generation Notes

Net energy is the difference between the electricity supplied by Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. and the electricity generated by an eligible Customer-generator and fed back to Central Electric Cooperative, Inc.’s electrical system over the applicable billing period. Excess power generated shall be credited to the Customer-generator’s account at Central Electric Cooperative, Inc.’s prevailing “avoided cost.” This credit shall be used to offset future billings for electrical power consumed. All net-metering accounts shall be cleared (i.e., returned to a $0.00 balance) annually. For each twelve (12) month period ending in December, any remaining credit in the Customers-generator’s account shall be returned to the respective Customer-generators.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. (OR) before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
