Net energy is the difference between electrical energy consumed by the Customer-generator from the CLPUD’s electrical supply system and the electrical energy generated by the Customer-generator and fed back into the CLPUD’s electrical supply system. Any excess electrical energy generated by the Customer-generator on a Net Meter Rate and supplied to the District's distribution system shall be valued based upon the Avoided Cost. Any excess energy generated shall be credited to the Customer's account at the Avoided Cost in the January billing cycle.
