Net Excess Generation Notes

At the end of each monthly meter reading cycle, excess energy generated by the CG System as measured by EWEB’s billing meter shall be credited at the

excess generation rate All kWh of excess generation.

With net metering, the utility meter records the net amount of energy generated through the PV system. When you're creating more electricity than you're using, the electric meter will spin backwards and the excess electricity is sent to the electric grid. This helps to offset the cost of your electricity usage at night or on cloudy days when your system is not producing.

With direct generation, all of the energy generated through your PV system goes directly to our electric grid and we purchase all of the energy from you.

The generation will be calculated at the current annual rate schedule (2021 Renewable Net-Metered Rate is $0.0360 per kWh; 2021 Annual Renewable Generation Rate is $0.0369 per kWh).

For net-meter ONLY, any renewable energy credits or certificates (RECs) generated from the Project may be retained by Customer. For direct generation ONLY, EWEB shall retain all right, title, and interest in the

renewable energy credits or certificates (RECs) generated from the Project. For direct generation ONLY, Customer shall complete and sign a Renewable Attribute Attestation associated with the RECs from the Project

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with EWEB - Eugene Water & Electric Board before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
