Net Excess Generation Notes

Lampasas shall pay customer for "kWh received" at the "Avoided cost of generation rate"

The energy produced by the customer's DG system would go to the customer's house first, if it produced more than what they use at that given time, it'll be exported back to the grid. The "Received kWh" is the energy exported from the customer's DG system to the grid throughout the day. The credit (if there is) will show on the customer's bill under "Received kWh" multiplied by the current rate. In rare scenario, if the credit is higher than that month's bill, it'll carry over on the next billing cycle. The current rate will change as needed. However, this has not changed this year yet so it may go UP or DOWN.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with City of Lampasas before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
