Net Excess Generation Notes

The interconnection is to be made on the member’s side of the meter, where the member will have first access to their generated power. Whatever power is not used at the time of generation will go through the meter and on to the grid(excess generation). RCEC will buyback the excess generation at the wholesale rate that is set in our tariff and currently at $0.066 per kWh

Residential: 15 kW

System can be sized over 15 kW up to 50 kW but will require additional engineering review.

No offset requirement as long as it does not trigger any transformer upgrade; if it does a system downsize will be required or a dedicated transformer upgrade will be required. Customer can also wait for the coop to update their infrastructure but will not be until 2030s

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with Rusk County Electric Cooperative, Inc. before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
