For power produced in excess of on-site requirements, the Customer shall be credited by SBEC for KWH that flowed to the SBEC power grid at the avoided cost of the purchased power.

Avoided Cost is calculated and shown on the customer’s bill or invoice and listed as the G & T (Generation and Transmission) Charges on their specific rate.

Compiled from public records, 2026. Tariffs and interconnection rules change; verify with SBEC - San Bernard Electric Co-op, Inc before you rely on this. The useful move: if an installer says you need a main panel upgrade, ask how these tap and interconnection policies were considered first.
