The disconnect switch should be located within 6’ of the meter. If it is not possible to do so, we require a permanent plaque installed at the meter base stating the specific location of the switch. This will have to be in place before we issue a meter change order.

We require a visual open point, preferably a blade style, for the disconnect switch. We do not accept breakers as these would have to be physically removed to be a visual open point.
