If the electricity generated by the Customer exceeds consumption and is distributed back to the PUD during the billing period, then the Customer shall be credited for the net excess kilowatt-hours generated during the billing period, with this kilowatt-hour credit appearing on Customer’s bill for the following billing period. Every year in March any remaining credits will be exhausted with no compensation to the member.

  • Must be a visible break and in the lockable open position
  • Must be located between the meter base and generating equipment

Placards

Common labeling, at Interconnection Customer’s expense, furnished or approved by the Utility and in accordance with NEC requirements must be posted on meter base, disconnects, and transformers informing working personnel that a generating facility is operating at or is located on the premises.


  1. PRODUCTION METER: AC production meter base shall be labeled, "CUSTOMER GENERATOR, PRODUCTION METER", with engraved phenolic placards; 3/8" white capitalized lettering on a red background.
  2. Main electric service (Net Meter) meter base shall be labeled "NET METER, CUSTOMER GENERATOR CONNECTED TO THIS SERVICE", with engraved phenolic placards; 3/8" white capitalized lettering on a red background.
  3. When the production meter is not within line of sight of the net meter, an engraved placard showing both meter locations shall be installed next to the production meter.
